Terms of Service

PawBridge is a community platform for pet adoption, lost & found alerts, and pet service listings in Sri Lanka. We connect pet owners, adopters, and service providers — we are not a party to any arrangement between users.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these terms.

When you post a listing, you agree that:

• All information about the pet, its health, and your contact details is accurate and truthful.
• You are the owner or authorised carer of the animal.
• You will not charge an adoption fee disguised as a "rehoming fee" in excess of documented costs (e.g. vet bills).
• You will not use PawBridge to facilitate commercial breeding or bulk sales without clearly disclosing that you are a breeder.
• Photos you upload belong to you or you have the right to use them.
• You will remove or update a listing when it is no longer accurate — for example, once a pet has been adopted.

You may upload vet certificates, vaccination records, and similar documents to an adoption listing. By doing so, you confirm that you have the right to share the document and that its contents are accurate. Documents are accessible to any signed-in PawBridge user. Do not upload documents containing sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary.

The following are not permitted on PawBridge:

• Listings for wild, exotic, or protected species.
• Content that is false, misleading, or deceptive.
• Harassment, threats, or abuse directed at other users.
• Using contact details obtained through PawBridge for spam, unsolicited marketing, or any purpose unrelated to the listing.
• Automated scraping or bulk access to listings without our written consent.

All adoption and directory listings are reviewed by our moderation team before they go live. We reserve the right to reject, remove, or edit any listing that violates these terms or that we determine is not in the best interests of the animals or our community, without prior notice and without liability.

PawBridge facilitates introductions between adopters and pet owners. We are not responsible for the outcome of any adoption, the health or behaviour of any animal, or any dispute that arises between users. Any arrangement you enter into is solely between you and the other party.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Notify us immediately at support@pawbridge.lk if you suspect unauthorised access to your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

The PawBridge name, logo, and platform are owned by us. Content you post (text, photos, documents) remains yours. By posting, you grant PawBridge a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your content on the platform for the purpose of operating the service.

PawBridge is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any listing or the suitability of any animal for adoption. To the fullest extent permitted by Sri Lankan law, PawBridge is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of PawBridge after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
